How accurate is Trendscoded's data?

Trendscoded captures what the AI models actually say, not a paraphrase — we send the same comparison questions your buyers ask, with your buyer context, to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Grok, and record the verbatim answer. Because AI answers shift day to day, accuracy comes from reading the pattern over a 30-day window, not trusting a single snapshot. Every read shows the question and the captured answer, so you can check it yourself.

The read is first-party and verbatim. When a buyer-style comparison question runs — for example, "What are the best [category] tools for a mid-market fintech team?" — Trendscoded records exactly what each model returned: who it named, in what order, and what evidence it cited. There is no human paraphrase in the middle to drift.

Single answers are noisy by nature — the same question can return a slightly different list the next day. So the number you act on is the pattern across a 30-day rolling window, not one capture. That is why Trendscoded refreshes daily and keeps the history: a brand that shows up in 8 of 10 answers this week is a real signal; one that appeared once is not.

And it is auditable, not a black box. Every Position Score read shows the exact comparison question and the captured answer behind it, so your team can spot-check any score against what the model actually said. The questions and the method are visible, not hidden.
