Start with the buyer need and market you care about. Then review how the selected model describes your company, the rivals it includes, and the evidence available for its claims.
Choose a relevant comparison
Broad category questions can miss a specialist company’s actual buyer need. Use the Market Map to identify the relevant market, geography, and rival set.
Read the answer, not just the name
Check whether the company is recommended, described as an alternative, or simply mentioned. Look for inaccurate descriptions and unsupported claims. Note the model, date, and whether web search was used.
Check the supporting information
Make sure public company information is accurate and consistent. If an answer cites a source, read the source and assess what it establishes. A citation is a starting point for verification, not a guarantee of truth.
Turn the finding into a team question
Discuss whether the answer reflects the company’s offering and buyer context. Your team decides which information needs correction, where more evidence is needed, and what work to prioritize.
Remeasure when useful
A completed read records a particular moment and context. Request another when you need a fresh view, keeping the comparison consistent. A change in standing does not by itself prove that a particular edit or campaign caused it.
